Great place to go when visiting Bear lake. Everyone else has super long lines. Not here they are just as good as the other places in town.

I stopped by last night since they were the only place open past 9. I was very impressed with the quality of food I received. The burger is better than any of the big name places around. The guy taking our order and cooking was great as well. I will be returning

Went to Bear Lake about 3 weeks ago and stopped her for a burger. Food was great, and management went above and beyond. While waiting for our food, I noticed the cashier entered the wrong entree into their system (which was less expensive than what I wanted). I notified management, they ensured the correct food came out, did not charge additional, and gave me a free, fresh raspberry lemonade which was delicious! Great atmosphere and terrific service. I highly recommend Ephraims!

We got the cheeseburgers and oh my!! They were very flavorful and filling. My mom got the double and she couldn't finish all of it! The fries were perfectly crunchy and hot. We also got the huckleberry shake. Now that was to die for!!! Even after it melted, it had the same flavor as when it was firm. No other shake i've had does that!! It was perfect!! Everything we had was so delicious!!! I think we found our new go-to place when we visit Bear Lake!! We will definitely be back!!

The food was just a miss. Kids meals were not good just still was $8. Burgers missed. Very bland burgers. Great outdoor sitting and atmosphere.

I'd heard that their shakes were amazing because they use hard ice cream to make them. The shakes we got did not disappoint. They were the best I've had in Bear Lake in 20 years.

We decided to check out Ephraim's after years of coming to Bear Lake. They have one of the cooler looking restaurants in the area, the food is average, but the shakes are some if the best in the area. I would recommend stopping by if you're just getting shakes. They also sell raspberries in season which are delicious. The shakes are a little smaller than other places, but definitely worth the cost. They have outdoor and indoor seating, and two unisex bathrooms (without changing tables).

Really cool place, great food, scones and jam was so good. Owner was super nice. One of our new Bear Lake Favorites.

Ephraim's is good but not my favorite. We have tried several places in Garden City and this place probably would rank in the middle on my list. We tried the BBQ Bacon Ranch burger and it was mediocre. The staff was really great and the atmosphere is fun! They have music and fun outdoor seating! Lots of spots for big family groups.

This was our first time here. I will say it will be a everytime stop for us from here on our. We ride our motorcycle threw here several times a year. They won us over.

Took a little while to get our shakes since we ordered a bigger order, but we got them in about twenty minutes. The other food orders got done pretty quick, so thats a plus. Highly recommend the peach shake.

I had the turkey sandwich, no bacon, fries, and a raspberry shake. All hit the spot after a day of hiking. There are like 30 flavors of shakes. I might need to go back to give them a try.

The food is good, but pricey, so I wouldn't recommend it for a large group. The shakes are delicious but small. We sat in the new indoor seating but the music was so loud we could hardly hear each other as we were trying to have a conversation.

The shakes are quality, I have been there twice over a short weekend; went there just for the shakes. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff are great and there is a ton of seating in the sun or in the shade.
Also, pickup a hand crafted wood sign, shirt or a custom log carving.

This place has great shakes. We came to Bear Lake for a family reunion and our group tried shakes from LeBeau's, Zipz, and Ephraim's -- and Ephraim's had the best shakes by far. Using hard ice cream makes a difference. The raspberry, raspberry lime, and huckleberry shakes were all great. This place also has fun atmosphere and lots of covered seating for a hot day at Bear Lake.

This place is located just before the light and on the right in garden city. it has a nice lower shaded dining area and a cool open sky upper dinning area. they serve breakfast lunch and dinner, but breakfast options are from 8am to 10am and then lunch and dinner are from 10am to 10pm.

Their shakes are wonderful and very tasty. they blend them up very finely so there are not a lot of chunks of things like cheese cake or pineapple like at other establishments but it does create a fuller mix of flavors that are very nice.

they have a bathroom on the lower level on the east side and there was a nice breeze when i visited that made the lower level in the shade feel great. i would like to visit some time when its night to try the upper deck in the stars.

note that the shakes take a little bit to get after ordering but they are worth the wait.

This place has literally the best shake I have ever had. Hard ice cream really does make the difference! It takes a long time to get your order, so plan on waiting. But it's worth the wait.

Best raspberry shake in Bear Lake, entertaining and historical decor, lots of outdoor seating and amazing onion rings! Only thing that kept it from a 5 star rating was the price ($45 for 2 adults and one toddler to eat).

Every restaurant in town says that they have the best raspberry shakes. Ephraim's truly does have the best. They use hard ice cream. Everyone else uses a soft serve and it's halfway melted by the time you get it. Not here. It stays nice and thick to the very last bite! Very rich deep flavor. Don't listen to all the hype of the other places. You definitely got to try this place. It truly is the best.

This is by far the best, real, local raspberry shake joint around! They have amazing food as well that you pay a little extra for but it's so worth it! I love their fries!!

Ephraim's is a solid choice for dining in Garden City. Most importantly, are the Raspberry shakes. They are made from hard ice cream and freshly mixed up. They taste like raspberries.
The menu has a fair number of items, but it's mostly about the burgers and fish and chips.
We've had fish and chips that were perfect, and we've had ones that were still doughy from not being completely cooked. The burgers and bun are good. The fries are great.
The best thing is the patio and seating. The area is huge, quirky, and relaxed. That pulls everything together and creates a nice place to eat..

Was recommended by a friendly staff member at Bear River Bird Sanctuary for their fresh raspberry shakes. These did not disappoint. We also got burgers and fries. Not bad, but not great; typical burger and fries.
Kind of strange that the place had what appeared to be middle school shop projects (wood burnings/carvings) scatter through out the place that were offered for sale at rather high prices for what they were.

This place serves big portions. I got the child's plate and it filled me up. The milkshakes are soooooo good. I'm lactose intolerant ,but I still got it. It was so worth it!! I will go back if I'm ever in Utah again.

All the shakes in the area are good, but after testing La Beau's, Zips, Chevron, and Ephraim's, my family gave Ephraim's the blue ribbon. Plus they have better parking, better seating, and less wait time. We're now fans of Ephraim's and look forward to enjoying their shakes on our next Bear Lake adventure.

We've discovered Ephraim's and it's now a "must do" for shakes (Huckleberry if you're lucky and in season, don't miss it!) and their food is quality all the way!

The shakes are really good. I got a huckleberry and my brother got the raspberry. The cashier said that the huckleberry shake was the best and my brother and I both had to agree. The food was pretty good. It wasn't amazing, but it definitely wasn't bad. I got the pulled pork and it was good, if a little bland. However, the wait time was excellent. Probably less than 10 minutes until we had our whole order. All in all, I'd recommend it unless there are a lot of people you're buying for because it's kind of pricey.

This hit the spot on a Friday evening exploring Logan Canyon. Did the famous raspberry shake. It was very delicious. I love that they make them with hard ice cream. Also tried the Texas corn dog. It was tasty. Friendly service & lots of seating & parking! Highly recommend I'd you find yourself hungry & thirsty up at Bear Lake.

There was a miscommunication about our shakes, but instead of just leaving them out on the counter like a lot of places do, they put them in the freezer for us. The staff are friendly and the place was clean. The scone was very good but quite pricey. The burgers are pretty bland, especially compared to several places close by that sell them for less. The one burger I would recommend is the meat eater which was very large and very good. The fries were excellent and the portion given with the burgers is very large.

Enjoyed the Meateater and Fish 'n Chips. Very tasty and fun atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend!

The best meal I had there was the meateater burger which came with the perfect amount of fries and frysauce. Although it comes with a drink I opted for a medium Raspberry lime shake, all together it was very delectably delicious!! They definitely earn five stars with their exceptional customer service (Melinda is my favorite)!! I wish I didn't have to leave, but I know when I come back I'm stopping by Ephraim's for a warm welcome and a side of pulled pork cheese fries!!

Hamburgers, fries, onion rings, and shakes were fantastic, as good if not better as any other place in town. They were fast and delicious! Plenty of seating, much of it covered. A few employees helped when one of our shakes started melting and they offered extra cups to contain the portion over the rim of the cup. We plan to return each year!

The food is an absolute 10. Best burger place around the lake we have found and the shakes are made from real ice cream and the flavors are excellent. Highly, highly recommend. Also, if you want the best experience snap a photo of their menu and call in your order an hour or so in advance. They get real busy so it will make your checkout experience top notch and super easy instead of waiting. Its cooked fresh!

Very good place to eat out they do have a drive through but very slow though. But fast food place though.

Pretty nice. Food was tasty. It was a little expensive, but overall a good experience! Didn't try the raspberry shake, though. I'm told it's amazing!

Above the rim shakes with great consistency and flavor! Also I love that they have plenty of room for lots of people. Great food too!

One of the better raspberry shakes around here and had other yummy flavors that were more unique. It was super clean too and the workers were very friendly!

The food is an absolute 10. Best burger place around the lake we have found and the shakes are made from real ice cream and the flavors are excellent. Highly, highly recommend. Also, if you want the best experience snap a photo of their menu and call in your order an hour or so in advance. They get real busy so it will make your checkout experience top notch and super easy instead of waiting. It’s cooked fresh!

We visited this restaurant on the 4th of July, found service to be very courteous, food served within a reasonable time frame for the crowd that was there and the food to be excellent.
I ordered onion rings and found them to be the best I have had in a long time. The BBQ pulled pork was very good as well. Will be visiting this location when in the area again.

Great food, pulled pork and cheese fries were great. Good burger and chicken fingers as well.

Nice and calm place to sit down and enjoy a Well cooked meal. Wonderful customer service. Deck sitting to enjoy a meal under the sun.

I feel obligated to leave a review here since all the reviews are so negative. I and my entire extended family feel it's the best burger in Garden City and I've been coming to Bear Lake since I was a kid. I've been to all the burger joints. Burgers come with all toppings on the side (lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles) so not sure why a previous review said no toppings were provided. Ephraim's gets a bad wrap because the location used to be Jake's place and was not good. People go to Le Beaus because of the nostalgic attachment of shakes, but the burgers at Ephraim's are better and little wait time. Service was good and food given with a smile. Shakes are also good and in a more manageable portion than the massive ones at other locations.

Heard about "famous raspberry shakes" from someone other than here. Which I guess makes them kinda famous. Anyway, I enjoyed the shakes even with high expectations. I would recommend the shakes. They don't just serve shakes there, but I did not eat anything else other than their shakes. I imagine it all tastes fine based on shake quality, if that's anything to judge by...

We've gone to bear lake a couple of times this summer. Each time we have eaten at Ephraims. Very pleasant experience. Plenty of seating, clean restrooms and the food was delicious! Best burger and fries I've had in a long time. Kudos to the owners!

A cool little burger joint with good food and a great environment. There are a couple of other burger joints down the road but they are always too busy with nowhere to sit. The food here is just as good and there is tons of seating! Great for couples on a date or for families and large groups.
One negative.... They charge an extra 30 cents if you want extra sauces... Worth it.

The shakes were great and so was the service! It was my families first time at Ephraim's and we will go back again.

Ephraim's restaurant has the best burgers in town made with1/4 lb fresh beef patties never Frozen the pulled pork is fantastic and the raspberry shakes are number 1 in town made only with local raspberries and hard ice cream combo meals come with 24 oz soda free refills and french fries shaded seating and shaded when waiting in line and upper deck seating with a lake view

The raspberry shakes made from fresh berries in the beginning portion of September is well worth an excursion to Jake's Place. Absolutely fabulous. -James H.

Food was great. Burgers and fries, chicken nuggets were crispy. They had a public restroom, which in Bear Lake in uncommon in most stores. The atmosphere was nice and there were lots of covered outdoor seating and standing tables. -Angie T

Super friendly staff and the service was quick. Best onion rings I've ever had and hands down the best raspberry shakes. Other places can say they have the best- but Jake's actually does. First visit to Bear Lake and Jake's - I'll be back. -Natalie M
